Gets hotter then a stick of hot glue!
What in the world can a Happy Hippy Homemaker do to keep her busy when the Captain is working, the laundry is done, the two year old is napping ? Get her crafty-ass in gear and get ready for the coming months and the newest Duckie edition to the family. The Capt has been sending me ideas from a CRAFT magazine that was the equivalent to his NERD M
ake Magazine. At first I paid no attention to it. As time has wore on I have realized that I have not only still have my passion for all things hair, and a slightly embarrassing scrapbooking fetish, I ALSO have developed an itch to do other things and learn a little bit more while I have a bit of time.A while back a friend of mine told me about this book and I thought it might be a good idea, since it showed me how to remake all my concert T's into other items and not just OTHER fashion tops. This had basic patterns for T-Quilts, T-Pillows, T-handbags. I purchased it and have longingly looked at the patters hoping that someday I will be able to do. For my Bifday this year my sister gave me 2 OTHER tshirt books and this one on how to measure, pattern, and sew basic skirts!!!! OH it was a dream come true!!!
Again I have longingly looked hoping that I would have the courage to go for it and make em. Here I am with Patterns know how, some sewing skills,(mostly learned from when I was in Theater in College) and the "what the hell" shoulder shrug. I started it today!!! My first is a few bags...simple with a pull string at the top! TO BE CONTINUED...
