Let's Review What We Learned.

Ahhh, I have just gotten up from my cat nap to realize that my dream of a house that was cleaned buy local birds and animals was all a delightful dream. It could have been messed up too, seeing house I am now 6 1/2 months preggers with my newest lil Duckie. Every morning I wake up to my little mover n shaker and just about every morning I have a new messed up dream to explain to the Capt. Today's sweet dream I was not only disappointed, I was DOWN RIGHT PISSED. I went from the beautiful dream of a clean home to THIS!!! GA!! How can I have ignored the mess in my living room and kitchen thinking it was a good time to nap?? The 2 year old has books, toys, Crayon's...and movies. In my awkward bend(seeing how the belly has now gotten in the way) I picked up, cleaned up and straightened up the small area. Now I just have to wait until the two tornado's called the Capt. and My 2 yr old Monkey swept through. The Lesson learned: If it's been cleaned enjoy it while it lasts.

I love that the Capt. loves to cook. I LOVE that. Elise thinks she knows how to cook as well. I LOVE that! I want her to be comfortable to be helping her dad. Sometimes she will sit in her chair and watch and listen as her Daddy tells her just how to mix, chop, and combine. I really don't LOVE the mess that sits after. Really is it necessary to dirty every Pot, pan, cutting board, knife... The Lesson learned: Good food is good food no matter the mess.

I have a 2 yr old Monkey. Every morning we get up and eat breakfast together. It is only at that point that I feel safe enough to dress her in freshly laundered clothes. Everyday we eat lunch together and naps...and I realize that her clothes are a dirty mess from helping me in the garden or wandering around the yard, that lunch isn't going to really make that difference. In the afternoon we like to go places...be it the store, the parks, grandma's house...I am at that point forced to put on a clean shirt on her because she can not leave the house looking like that. I then realize how many clothes she goes though a day and in a week. It is a constant struggle to keep up with the laundry or with her! She is so Two and getting into things, or dirt or food that keeping her looking less then homeless is a huge struggle. Lesson learned : Monkey is going to remember the fun things we did, not the Clean Shirts or Combed Hair.
