Throw it aginst the wall to see what sticks...I think this is it, It's a Hit
I found an email in my box this afternoon, it was titled"Your blog is Woefully behind". My first thought was "blog This..." after I calmed down I decided that it was a good idea. On the contrary, I have blogged, however...they was not cool so there they sit in the NOT PUBLISHED box.
The Man, has adjusted to the whole married bit better then I have. It's been an interesting adventure. When I decided to marry him I made sure he knew I was not going to change, I was STILL going to be the girl that swore loudly, Banged her hear to head to delightful tunes( Roll tonight to the guitar bite and for those who are about to rock, I salute you), in denile that Pink is my natural color. That was who I was...I thought I knew who he was. A couple of weeks ago I was so RUDELY AWAKEN to light and truth. I married a computer GEEK. He wanted to purchase a DVD burner for his home computer, and sent me link after link. When he found the one he wanted he exclaimed "SEXY". I didn't know what to think...should i feel threatened? Should I feel cheated on? Further more what the hell was he thinking? I can think of seveal things that were more sexy...Christian Bale in Bateman Begins, Ewan McGreggor in ANYTHING that he does(including the Star Wars)...I would even go so far to say that Carmen Electra(DEAD sexy). This piece of plactic and electronic hardware is SURE AS SHIT not Sexy. I felt betrayed...are other computer geek wives going through
the same saddness or embarassment? Is there a support group for us? I didn't know what to do or say, and there was no where to turn to ask for help I think I needed to talk to him about this. A week later when we were wondering around the bookstore, I suggested that maybe a Swimsuite issue, Sports Illistrated style would correct him of his ways of what is sexy and what isn't. he laughed it off and went to look for something else. This makes so much sense you know? When we were dating there were computer books that he said were his friends...and the computer parts that are hidden in his room, I am sure there was an excuse for those too. Slowly but surely I have come to the conclusion that The Man...is a computer geek. That is a slippery slope, geek can quickly turn to Nerd. I think that maybe he has a chance grow out of it, I mean he has other hobbies, and not quit a gamer, or a gamer at all. I don't think I have fully accepted what has happened, but like me He isn't going to change.
I still swear that Pink is my natural color.
